Before
After
This is how I spent my day off last week. I love doing a job where you can see such drastic results. And, as it turns out, there is such a thing as too much pink.
If you don't want to settle or be settled for at work, in love, or life in general, work on improving yourself in every area possible.
...now if only I could actually do it.
The other day, I heard someone mention that you can get addicted to carrots. Did you catch that? Addicted. To. Carrots. I mean, I've heard of being addicted to cocaine, cigarrettes, coffee, chocolate, and even iceberg lettuce (though I believe that is mainly an addiction turtles have), but carrots?
So I decided to google it, which, it turns out, resulted in a lot of people claiming carrot dependency. So, here's my idea: using carrots to help people quit smoking. Gone are the days of Nicoret, the patch, or just going cold turkey, I could write a book about substituting carrots for cigarrettes. Brilliant, huh? The only side effect of excessive carrot eating that I know of is turning a bit orangish, but that's a small price to pay for your excellent eyesight, plus the orangish skin might offset the yellowish teeth remaining from years of smoking. And while someone sitting next to you at a restaurant crunching carrots might be a bit noisy, it's better than second hand smoke in your face, right?
Here's my other idea: you know those adapters that go from your CD player or MP3 player into a car cassette player? Well, now that the days of the factory installed cassette player are fading away, I'm going to invent a tape player with an adapter that plugs into your CD player, for those times when you want to play your old mixed tapes.
These two ideas combined are practically like a license to print money.
Don't buy the "bargain ladder." That extra ten bucks is worth some peace-of-mind.
About an hour ago, I wrote a really long, detailed entry about my sister's wedding, my fun weekend, interesting company, and life in general. That's about the time Monroeblogs decided to stop working. I'm just not up to re-writing it now. I do intend to start blogging more regularly soon. Really.
I'm partied out.
It's times like these that make me appreciate those days when I'm bored. The new job is going well, though I still don't feel completely settled. It will take a little more time.
Christmas was great. I got a new bike. (I'm gonna take it off some sweet jumps.) I also got an MP3 player, but I've yet to be able to make it work. Of course, I also got a talking Donald Trump. He's not a bobble-head, but we did have a lot of fun playing with it. I was so happy to have all the family there.
After weeks of Christmas parties and New Years Eve party, I'm ready to be done.
Not going to happen.
My sister's wedding is Saturday, so the family is coming into town and the festivities continue. I think it will be a great week, but I'm sure I'll be happy next week when life settles down, I don't have events to attend every night, and I can go back to eating mundane things like fish and rice instead of party food.
It's been fun while it lasted though.
