*I’m almost embarrassed to say it, but I’ve officially been blogging for four years now.
*I placed a small wager on the Super Bowl (or The Pretty-Good Bowl as my brother called it), and I accidentally won!
*I’m almost freaking out about going to Thailand – not so much being in Thailand – it’s the preparation that’s wigging me out a little.
*I had a really good weekend – stayed quite busy doing all the things I wanted to do (and none of the things I probably should have done, but didn’t feel like doing).
*I wore two different shoes to church last night. I don’t think I’ve ever done that before. Different socks, yes - but not different shoes. They were very similar. At least I got to say, “I’ve got to run home to change shoe,” a phrase one doesn’t get to use in the singular that often.

Glad to hear you won the bet...I'm hoping that means you bet on my Colts.
So was Booth calling it the pretty good bowl because of this particular game, or does he call it that every year? With all the storylines in this one (black coaches, Peyton, a lot of scoring, turnovers, the weather, etc.) it was one of the most exciting, and compelling SB's in quite some time. And even Prince showed up! Hey, let's face it, just because a team from the south isn't in it, doesn't mean it should be disregarded...y'all are so picky:)

And I don't think Aaron was calling it the Pretty Good Bowl based on this particular game, more like a general feeling of many Super Bowls. I (even I) enjoyed watching most of this game and though I'm not a huge Prince fan, I must say, as far as half-time shows go, it wasn't bad. It would have been better if he could have actually made the rain purple, but you can't have it all, right? And don't say anything about the South! We were actually glad to not be hearing about Hurricane Katrina!

I thought the Prince stuff was just ok. He did a few songs that weren't even his own, which was weird and kind of boring/disappointing. But they did their best to make the rain purple with all the lights, fireworks, and purple glowing...crazy stuff. i'm proud of you actually watching and (really?) enjoying most of the game! i think you're about ready for some volleyball!
