10 years ago: I started driving. I was 16 and in the beginning of my senior year of high school. Wow. I'm getting old.
5 years ago: I was enjoying my senior year of college. That was a super-fun year.
1 year ago: I had a cold. I was hanging out with friends from college. (You've gotta love blog archives.)
Yesterday: I worked. I did Pilates (which I'm aching from today). I jogged to the park to watch some AAPC softball and I learned two things: (1) it's fun to jog by a football field during a football game because it's like jogging to your own personal marching band and (2) don't take a short cut through the golf course because you just might get beamed by a golf ball. I didn't, but if I had been about 5 seconds faster...
5 snacks I enjoy: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Fuji Apples, M&M's, yogurt, lattes
5 songs I know all of the words to: "It's the End of the World as We Know It, And I Feel Fine" (R.E.M.), "Son of a Preacher Man" (Dusty Springfield), "Tiny Dancer" (Elton John), "The Luckiest" (Ben Folds), "Eternal Flame" (The Bangles)
5 things I'd do with 100 million dollars: hire a financial advisor, buy a first home, buy homes for all my family members, buy a second home (only as an investment, of course), give to worthy causes
5 places I'd run away to: England, Florida, Seattle, Italy, New York City
5 things I'd never wear: leg warmers w/ flip flops, short-shorts, a mu-mu, clothes that are two decades out of style, a short pleated skirt (trust me: it's not a good look for me)
5 favorite TV shows: House, Survivor, Seinfeld, ER, 24
5 biggest joys: Sundays, my family, stability, laughing with friends, the hope that is within me
5 favorite toys: my car, the stereo in my car, my computer, my bicycle, portable CD player (I know: I'm so out of touch with the iPod generation)

Posted by: Emily at October 6, 2005 06:57 AMI've always been partial to the hairbrush/microphone. It's much more realistic.
Posted by: Christin at October 6, 2005 09:43 AMSitting at the computer, I use what's in reach.
Can your second home investment be my first home? I'm not family, but I'm a worthy cause.
